The Gospel Music Channel will debut an original comedy series called "Ha!: Standing Up for Clean Comedy." The show, which includes family-friendly stand-up, bits and sketches, will have its premiere as a special on Sat. March 7 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT and will then be seen as shorts interspersed throughout the GMC schedule.

GMC recently announced that it is adding more Gospel Soul programming -- meaning the kind of content that most appeals to black viewers. Sunday and Monday nights are now the home of everything Soul on Gospel Music Channel.

Soulful Sunday and Soulful Monday features back-to-back nights of music, series, specials, and videos featuring the most popular names in Soul Gospel including Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Al Green, Mary Mary, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Smokie Norful, The Clark Sisters, Robert Randolph, CeCe Winans and many others.

GMC aired The 2009 Stellar Awards, the premier Gospel event honoring gospel artists, on March 1st. The Stellar Gospel Music Awards show was produced by Barbara Wilson for Central City Productions.
