godtalknow.gifGodTalkNow.com, the website which is known for confronting controversial topics has now upgraded its site to allow videos. The videos will be used to enhance discussions around political, moral, educational and cultural issues in connection with God. GodTalkNow.com is seeking sermons, church workshops, conferences, conventions, educational institutions, and everyday people who are interested in posting videos about God in connection with topics that foster intelligent discussion.

Edward Mulraine, founder of GodTalkNow.com says "adding the videos with the articles allow people to see those persons who raise issues about a particular subject in connection with God. It also encourages a response from the viewer." Already on the site you can see persons such as Dr. Cornell West and Dr. James Cone as well as a church forum on being "Blessed but Depressed."

GodTalkNow.com has always been unique in that respect, although it is a Christian site it has not shied away from topics that are often ignored in the church. In the GodBlog section this month, a number of controversial issues have already been raised. One of them is entitled Can Men Control Themselves: Lust and Lies. This article deals with the often uncontrollable sexual nature of men whether their pastors or politicians that pervade the nation. The article examines how many men of today are no different from many of God's servants in the bible. The article then goes on to answer the question of whether or not men can control themselves

Additionally, the site explores the often missing message in Gospel music when it comes to social and political issues. At a time when a black man and woman is running for president shouldn't the prophetic voices in music be heard beyond the heavenly and the holy and show how God can deal with the here and now politically. The article entitled Gospel Music's Broken Record, questions the courage of gospel musicians to relate their music to the times as many of the Spiritual songs did during slavery. The issue of wasting food as reported recently in the New York Times is also discussed. The article asks the question in these hard economic times are Christians, churches responsible for wasting food. The article is entitled Are Christians Leaving behind the Left Overs.
